A Leading Multi Bn $ Hedge Fund with an exceptional track record is currently looking for a Technology Control Director to manage, oversee and develop the companies IT Risks within the firm.

Responsibilities-

·         Understanding the current technology development and infrastructure environment and identifying internal and external risks accordingly in a risk management context.

·         Oversight of the Client’s upgrade to their Risk Management system .

·         Identify technology risks to allow for the firm to exploit competitive trading advantage.  Risks may include data security and access, infrastructure and networks, integrity of data, systems weaknesses, market and credit risk, project performances and supporting the business and day to day IT operations performance.

·         Analyse and quantify technology risks creating probability distributions of outcomes for each material risk.

·         Work with current IT Development and Risk team to challenge and validate existing methods and to develop strategies for controlling and exploiting the various risks.

·         Develop and execute procedures and policies that mitigate I.T. related risks.

·         Continue monitoring and reviewing including continual measurement of the technology risk environment and the performance of the risk management strategies.

·         Documenting material threats to Client.

 

 

Suitable candidates are expected to have extensive experience from an Investment Bank Prop Desk or Hedge Fund working on Risk Systems within a Fixed Income Trading environment.

Core skills required –

·         Technical skills/experience working in a highly Risk focused IT Development, and to a lesser degree, IT infrastructure and its impact on IT Risk.

·         Sufficient “quant” and analytical capabilities in order to validate IT development in trading, risk and research areas.

·         Experience of algos, systematic models, etc.

·         Strong Fixed income knowledge and familiar with trading environment

·         Observable organizational rigueur to run a control framework.

·         Ability to cultivate relationships both internally and externally to support the business requirements.

·         An individual adept to knowledge sharing with other team members.

·         Numerate

·         Willingness to assume responsibility and take ownership of tasks assigned.
